Nikhoj (2023): The first look poster of Ayan Chakraborti's directorial series unveiled

Nikhoj, the upcoming Bengali web series set to premiere on Hoichoi on 11th August 2023. Directed by Ayan Chakraborti, the mystery thriller features acclaimed actors Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Choudhury in lead roles.

The first look poster of this series was unveiled on June 27, 2023, giving viewers a glimpse into the intense world of the series. Swastika Mukherjee portrays the character of Brinda Basu, the determined DCP of Lalbazar, while Tota Roy Choudhury takes on the role of Romit Sen, a journalist.

Nikhoj revolves around the gripping investigation into Brinda's missing daughter. The series showcases Brinda's struggles as a dedicated DCP and a desperate mother, making it a compelling narrative. This marks Swastika Mukherjee's return to the OTT space after delivering stellar performances in various projects such as 'Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach', 'Mohomaya', 'Paanch Phoron,' 'Paatal Lok', 'Black Widows', 'Charitraheen 3', and 'Dupur Thakurpo'.

Additionally, she will be seen in the upcoming crime thriller 'Shibpur' this year and 'Durgapur Junction' next year. Swastika Mukherjee reunites with Tota Roy Choudhury after their successful collaboration in 'Chokher Bali', released in 2003.

Tota Roy Choudhury has garnered acclaim for his outstanding performances in 'Feluda Pherot Season 1' and 'Feludar Goyendagiri Season 1'. He has also been featured in notable films such as 'The Girl on the Train', 'Ajeeb Daastaans', and 'Mukhosh' in 2021. His upcoming projects include the romantic drama film 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, as well as the web series 'Feluda Pherot Season 2' and 'Feludar Goyendagiri Season 2'.

Director Ayan Chakraborti, known for his previous works like Shororipu and Shororipu 2: Jotugriho, makes his OTT directorial debut with 'Nikhoj'. Notably, Paran Bandopadhyay will play a crucial role in this intriguing series.
