Feludar Goyendagiri Season 1 Review: Story

The story of Feludar Goyendagiri is based on Satyajit Ray’s Darjeeling Jawmjawmat. The series started with a scene from director Pulak Ghoshal’s (Rahul Banerjee) next movie. Lalmohan Ganguly(Anirban Chakrabarti) has written the story of this movie. The movie features Rajen Raina(Saheb Bhattacherjee) as the hero & Mahadev Verma(Subrat Dutta) as the villain.

The shooting of the movie was taking place at Birupakhho Majumder’s (Barun Chanda) home. He informed the trio of Prodosh Chandra Mitra aka Prodosh C Mitter aka Feluda, Tapesh aka Topse (Kalpan Mitra) & Lalmohan Ganguly about his hobby of keeping the crime news from newspapers. When Feluda requested him to see the news he kept, he invited them to his house. He also introduced his son Samiran(Suprobhat Das) to the trio.

Birupakhho Majumder also requested Feluda’s help if he ever meets danger & Feluda agreed to help. After a few days, he was killed while everyone was busy shooting for the film. Feluda arrived there & inspector Jyotish Saha(Loknath Dey) assures him of full cooperation. The rest of the story revolves around how Feluda finds out about the killer.

Feludar Goyendagiri Bengali Series Season 1 Review: Performance & Analysis

After receiving a massive response for Feluda Pherot, the excitement was huge among the audiences for director Srijit Mukherji’s Feludar Goyendagiri web series.

Anirban Chakrabarti is just making us fall for him again and again with his brilliant performances. Whether we talk about his performances in Eken Babu, Rabindranath Ekhane Kokhono Khete Asenni Series, or movies like The Eken, Kakababur Protyaborton, FIR, Mukhosh, he is consistently delivering top-notch performances for quite some time now.

His Hindi speaking, & his expression after hearing the director has added a female character to his story, were a treat to watch. His dialogue to Subrat Dutta- “Aap manmara mat hoiye” was a hilarious one. Overall we can say that in the first three episodes he kept the audience engaged.

Tota Roy Choudhury is giving a reason for the audience to remember him as one of the most versatile actors in the Industry. The scene where he shares his observations on actor Mahadev Verma or in the climax when he shouted to Rajen Raina, were some of the most eye-catching scenes of the series.

Kalpan Mitra, Rahul Banerjee, Barun Chanda, Subrat Dutta, Saheb Bhattacherje, Mainak Banerjee, Suprobhat Das, & Loknath Dey provided good support with their respective characters.

Director Srijit Mukherji once again hits the ball out of the park with Feludar Goyendagiri. There is nothing much to say about his direction but I think the best thing he has done is by choosing Tota Roy Choudhury as Feluda.

Final Words:

Srijit Mukherji’s brilliant direction & solid performances by Tota Roy Choudhury, & Anirban Chakrabarti are the reasons to make Feludar Goyendagiri worth watching.
