Director Srijit Mukherji has finally unveiled the trailer of his much-anticipated romantic comedy, 'Oti Uttam'. This film holds special significance for audiences due to the presence of the legendary Mahanayak Uttam Kumar.

The director chose to release the preview on the death anniversary of this iconic figure, who was not only an actor but also a producer, composer, writer, and director in the Bengali film industry. Although we lost him on July 24, 1980, his legacy will undoubtedly remain with us forever.

In 'Oti Uttam', Srijit Mukherji skillfully employs VFX to bring Mahanayak Uttam Kumar back to the screen. The trailer gives us glimpses of scenes crafted using dialogues from his previous movies, a nostalgic treat for the fans.

The story revolves around a Ph.D. researcher, portrayed by Anindya Sengupta, whose project centers around Mahanayak Uttam Kumar. As the plot unfolds, the researcher faces multiple rejections in his romantic pursuits. It is here that Uttam Kumar and his grandson, portrayed by Gourab Chatterjee, step in to assist the researcher in navigating his love life, leading to some heartwarming and amusing moments.

In addition to the talented cast, 'Oti Uttam' also marks the big-screen debut of Roshni Bhattacharyya. Subhasish Mukherjee and Laboni Sarkar will be seen in crucial roles, adding depth to the narrative. The film's music, composed by Saptak Sanai Das, is bound to complement the storytelling.
