Feluda Ferot (2020) Series Season 1 Review: Story & Performances:

This was Writer & Director Srijit Mukherjee’s debut on the OTT Platform. Before moving to the Feluda Ferot web series review, let’s get a brief about Feluda's character. Writer and director Satyajit Ray created the fictional character Feluda(Prodosh Chandra Mitter) in his novels.

Crime fiction stories have a special place in all Bengali people’s hearts. Feluda, a private investigator with great observation skills, will make you fall in love with him.

Season 1 comprises two different stories named “Chhinnamostar Obhishaap” and “Jawto Kando Kathmandute”.

Pradosh C Mitter (Tota Roy Chowdhury), his cousin Topshe (Kalpan Mitra) & friend Mr.Lalmohon Babu (Anirban Chakrabarti) aka Jatayu left to spend a vacation at Hazaribagh.

 On the way, they found a man who requested them to drop him off if they were going toward Hazaribagh. Mr. Mitter assures him that drop him off at his destination.

 During the conversation, Pritin shared that his father, Mahesh Chowdhury (Dhritiman Chatterji) is a renowned advocate there. He is going to attend the family get-together for his father’s 70^th birthday. His other two brothers are Arun & Biren.

After arriving there, they came to know that a Royal Bengal Tiger named Sultan has run away from the Great Majestic Circus & appeared in random locations, which made the local people scared.

Pritin informed them that his father had invited them to join them for the picnic at Rajrappa. Mahesh has given the responsibility to Mr. Mitter for solving some of his life’s mysteries.

Srijit Mukherjee continues to rule in the hearts of audiences.  He impresses again with his brilliant storytelling and direction. He brought back Feluda and presented it so nicely in front of us, which many did not expect. I hope that we will get many more beautiful stories like this from him in the coming days.

Previously we have seen actors like Soumitra Chatterjee, Sabyasachi Chakraborti & Abir Chatterjee play the character of Feluda. This time it is Tota Roy Chowdhury, whose performance has been highly appreciated by audiences as well as critics.

It would be unfair to compare Tota Roy Chowdhury with other actors who have portrayed the Feluda character before. But he portrayed the character beautifully, and his body language, look, and almost everything were simply awesome.

If we check some social media platforms, we will see the kind of good responses he is receiving for his character. He was very well supported by Anirban Chakrabarti, Kalpan Mitra & Rishi Kaushik. The rest of the characters also provided valuable contributions.
