Biye Bibhrat (2023) Review: Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee’s bromance is worth watching

Biye Bibhrat (2023) Review: Story & Performances

The plot centers around Shakyajit Som, also known as Shakya (played by Abir Chatterjee), a popular YouTuber and investment banker who has a large female fan base. When his friend Nikita (played by Swastika Dutta) mistakenly assumes they are in a relationship and breaks it off, Shakya's mother (played by Sudipa Basu) decides to find a suitable bride for him.

After meeting several girls, Shakya finally finds himself drawn to Mohor (played by Lahoma Bhattacharya), an interior decorator. Both Shakya and Mohor agree to take a year before finalizing their marriage plans. However, Shakya receives a card stating that Mohor is of questionable character. Seeking the truth, he confronts Mohor and discovers that she has been visiting her former music teacher Chandramouli Hajra's (played by Parambrata Chatterjee) house. It becomes apparent that Mohor and Chandramouli were once in a relationship. The story unfolds as Mohor must decide whom she will choose as her groom.\

'Biye Bibhrat' primarily focuses on the engaging bromance between Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee, which feels fresh and captivating. Both actors have dedicated ample time to bring out the best in their characters. Their bromance may remind you of the chemistry between John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in the film 'Dostana'.

Abir Chatterjee portrays his character convincingly among the three lead actors. The scenes between him and Parambrata Chatterjee are the highlights of this romantic drama. Parambrata Chatterjee delivers a brilliant performance as the shy and introverted music teacher, Chandramouli Hajra.

Lahoma Bhattacharya also delivers an admirable performance as Mohor. In her debut film 'Raavan', she did not have many opportunities to showcase her talent, but in this film, she receives and utilizes the script perfectly. Her dialogues in the second half, in particular, are fantastic.

In addition to the acting, the background score by Nabarun Bose and the music composition by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee will capture your attention. The story by Parambrata Chatterjee does not offer anything groundbreaking, and Raja Chanda's direction is decent.

Final Words:

It is a captivating romantic comedy film that is definitely worth watching. One of the main reasons for its appeal is the exceptional performances delivered by Abir Chatterjee and Parambrata Chatterjee. Both actors showcase their talent and chemistry, making their on-screen presence truly engaging.

Furthermore, the film is elevated by the remarkable background score crafted by Nabarun Bose and the music composition by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee. These elements add depth and enhance the overall viewing experience, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Overall, 'Biye Bibhrat' combines great performances and a captivating soundtrack, making it a delightful choice for fans of romantic comedies.
