Director Anik Dutta, known for his contributions to Bengali cinema with movies like "Bhooter Bhabishyat," "Aschorjo Prodip," and "Borunbabur Bondhu," is set to enchant audiences once again with his upcoming film, Joto Kando Kolkatatei. Following his last venture, Aparajito, starring Jeetu Kamal, Dutta collaborates with actor Abir Chatterjee in the lead role as Topshe for this cinematic tribute to the iconic detective Feluda, also known as Pradosh C Mitter.

This film marks the second collaboration between Abir Chatterjee and Anik Dutta since Meghnad Badh Rahasya in 2017. Joining the cast is Bangladeshi actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, known for her roles in films like "Bhuban Majhi," "Dhaka Attack," and "Chandrabati Kotha," as the female lead. The shooting is scheduled to take place in various locations in Kolkata and a few picturesque spots in Darjeeling.

Notable actors such as Roja Paromita Dey, seen recently in Picasso and Parnasavarir Shaap, and Rik Chatterjee, who made his debut with "Oh Lovely," will play crucial roles in the film. The detective thriller's storyline has been penned by the director himself, with Utsav Mukherjee providing support as a co-writer. The musical composition will be handled by Debojyoti Mishra, while Indranath Marik will take charge of cinematography, and Arghya Kamal Mitra will edit the film Joto Kando Kolkatatei jointly produced by Friends Communication and Big Screen Production.

Costume designer Suchismita Dasgupta, collaborating for the fifth time with director Anik Dutta, brings her expertise to the film. Meanwhile, she is also contributing to director Ram Kamal Mukherjee's upcoming project, Binodini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan.

Abir Chatterjee, who had a successful 2023 with appearances in blockbusters like Raktabeej and Kabuliwala, continues to grace the screen in upcoming films such as Badami Hyenar Kobole, Deep Fridge, and Putul Nacher Itikotha.
