Nokol Heere Web Series Review: To Watch Or Not To Watch

Nokol Heere (Damayanti Season 2) (2021) Bengali Web Series Review:

Aritra Sen & Rohan Ghose Directorial Nokol Heere (Damayanti Season 2) starring Tuhina Das, Indrashish Roy, Rajnandini Paul, Biswajit Chakraborty, Madhurima Ghosh, & Kamalika Banerjee premiered on 12th March 2021 on Hoichoi.

All the love showered on Damayanti has brought her back to solve a new mystery in the Nokol Heere (Damayanti Season 2) web series.

Hoichoi has been consistent in delivering good content to its audiences. Some of those top series are Hello 3, Byomkesh 6, Taqdeer, Charitraheen 3, Dracula Sir, Rahasya Romancha3, Tansener Tanpura 2, Bonyo Premer Golpo 2, Eken Babu 4, Mismatch 3, etc.

The story of Nokol Heere revolves around Dipanwita(Rajnandini Paul), the younger daughter of Sushil Maitra(Biswajit Chakraborty) who has killed her husband Pratap(Sudip Sarkar).

Dipanwita’s elder sister Suchismita(Anindita Roy Choudhury) is married to Ramanuj(Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee). Sushil Maitra’s daughters were in a relationship before the marriage. But he was not happy with their choice.

Thinking about his company, Maitra Engineering’s future Sushil Maitra decided to make Pratap his younger son-in-law. He also promoted him to the company’s Senior Vice President Position.

In an accident, Ramanuj body’s lower half got paralyzed. Ramanuj is a brilliant person and was an International Master’s in chess at the age of 14 and also has a Master’s Degree in History.

Dipanwita was unhappy with this marriage and came to inform his father that she wanted a divorce from Pratap. When Pratap arrived they had argued over something and before Sushil could understand what was going on in the next room Dipanwita shot Pratap.

Inspector Shiben (Soumya Banerjee) was appointed to the case for investigation. He took help from Damayanti and later she was appointed by Sushil Maitra for proper investigation.

Coming to know about a few difficulties in solving the case she had to opt for a fake PI (Private Investigator) card.

Satyaki(Atmadeep Ghosh) grew up at Sushil’s house. He was the son of a neighbor with whom Sushil Maitra’s wife Sumitra was having an affair. Coming to know about it Sushil used to threaten her and sometimes physically tortured her.

Being unable to bear all these, Sumitra committed suicide. This incident made Satyaki’s father mentally unstable. From there on Sushil used to look after Satyaki.

The director duo Aritra Sen & Rohan Ghose did a fantastic job by giving something better than the Damayanti web series. Though the story looked quite ordinary like any other crime thriller, it has its flaws and a few twists that made it worthy of watching.

This was a brilliant effort from Tuhina Das. Her Performance in Nokol Heere is much better than the Damayanti web series.

It was Atmadeep Ghosh who highly impressed the audiences with his character of Satyaki. Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee also did not disappoint us with his short but effective role of Ramanuj.

Rajnandini Paul also contributed well with her given character. Kamalika Banerjee’s Panchali and Madhurima Ghosh’s Ishita characters lacked some attention. The rest of the characters have portrayed their given roles quite well.
