On February 4th, 2024, Director Srijit Mukherji confirmed that the shooting of his upcoming film Tekka has been wrapped up. Dev quoted "Finger crossed…let’s hope for the best".
The film stars Dev, Rukmini Maitra, and Swastika Mukherjee in the lead roles, with Tota Roychowdhury and Paran Bandopadhyay in supporting roles. Aryann Bhowmik will be seen in a crucial role in this film. The film has been produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures Pvt Ltd and is scheduled to be released during Durga Puja this year.
The first look poster of this film was unveiled on Dev’s 41st birthday. The film marks the maiden collaboration between Dev and Swastika Mukherjee, the 7th collaboration between Dev and Rukmini Maitra, and the 2nd collaboration between Dev and Srijit Mukherji. There is no official update about the teaser and trailer release date for this film yet.
Last year, Srijit Mukherji's directorial Dawshom Awbotaar received a massive response during Durga Puja. Dev will be featured in Raghu Dakat, Khadaan, and Chander Pahar 3. Rukmini Maitra will be seen in upcoming projects like Boomerang, Binodini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan, and Draupadi.
