Boomerang (2023) Bengali Movie: Jeet and Rukmini Maitra’s maiden collaboration

On July 14, 2023, Jeet took to his social media platform to share glimpses from the Subh Muhurat ceremony of his upcoming film, Boomerang. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the film features Rukmini Maitra as the female lead.

Boomerang is Sauvik Kundu's third directorial venture, following Aay Khuku Aay and Switzerland. He made his directorial debut in 2020 with Switzerland, which starred Abir Chatterjee and Rukmini Maitra. Therefore, this new film marks his second collaboration with Rukmini Maitra.

This film marks the first collaboration between director Sauvik Kundu and actor Jeet. It is also the first time that Superstar Jeet and actress Rukmini Maitra will share the screen together. It is the first time Nilayan Chatterjee will compose music for a Jeet starrer film. He already composed music for Kishmish, Kacher Manush, & Dilkhush.

Kharaj Mukherjee, Debchandrima, and Satyam Bhattacharya will be playing crucial roles in the film. Jeet announced the project on his birthday last year. Boomerang will be produced by Jeetz Filmworks, with Manas Ganguly, who previously served as the cinematographer for Chengiz and Raavan, handling the cinematography once again in this upcoming film of Jeet.

Jeet will be also seen in the upcoming film Manush: The Child of Destiny while Rukmini Maitra will feature in Byomkesh O Durgo Rahosyo.
