Actor Dev & director Dhrubo Banerjee’s Second Collaboration:

Director Dhrubo Banerjee is reuniting with actor Dev for their upcoming movie titled “Raghu Dakat”. The announcement with the first look poster was released on 04th November 2021, the occasion of Kali Puja. The official motion poster of this movie will also arrive this weekend. Dev will be seen playing the titular role in “Raghu Dakat”.

As we all know about Raghu Dakat's history, he was once known as the Bengal’s Robinhood, as he used to distribute the looted wealth from the rich people among the local poor.

The movie will be jointly bankrolled by SVF entertainment and Dev Entertainment Ventures. Raghu Dakat also marks the maiden collaboration between SVF & Dev Entertainment Ventures. The rest of the cast as well as, the release date, teaser & trailer of this movie are yet to be announced.

There was a movie with the same name which was released in 1952 and it was directed by Girin Choudhury. Tara Bhaduri, Chandrabati Devi, Ashu Bose, Dipak Mukhopadhyay, Jiben Bose, and Meera Sarkar were the lead cast of 1952’s Raghu Dakat.

There is no doubt that fans are eagerly waiting to see this actor-director collaboration again after the grand success of their maiden collaboration in the Golondaaj movie. Dev, Anirban Bhattacharya, Ishaa Saha, Indrasish Roy, Srikanta Acharya, John Bhattacharya, and Mirchi Agni were the lead cast of Golondaaj, which is successfully running in its 4th week.

The massive success of Golondaaj in Bengal led the makers to release it in other states and countries including Maharashtra, The United States, Australia, and Canada.

Dev’s upcoming movies are director Rahul Mukherjee’s Kishmish, director Avijit Sen’s Tonic and Projapoti, director Pathikrit Basu’s Kacher Manush & Khelaghor directed by Leena Gangopadhyay & Saibal Banerjee. Due to the pandemic, none of Dev’s movies was released in 2020.
