On December 2, 2023, SVF Entertainment confirmed that the trailer for director Suman Ghosh's upcoming film Kabuliwala will be unveiled on December 4, 2023. This marks the third collaboration between Jio Studios and SVF Entertainment, following Dawshom Awbotaar and Bogla Mama Jug Jug Jiyo.
Starring Mithun Chakraborty as Rahmat, this film represents his second collaboration with director Suman Ghosh since Nobel Chor in 2012. The storyline of this upcoming family drama revolves around Rahmat from Afghanistan, who forms a heartwarming bond with Mini (Anumegha Kahali) upon his arrival in Kolkata. The film will explore how their relationship evolves over time.
Abir Chatterjee and Sohini Sarkar will portray the roles of Mini's parents in the film. Kabuliwala is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 22, 2023, and will compete with Dev starring Pradhan.
