On December 2, 2023, Bengal Talkies, the production house, shared a poster confirming the release of the trailer for the much-anticipated Bengali Film Pradhan, starring Dev. The trailer is set to arrive on December 4, 2023. The poster showcases Dev and Soumitrisha Kundu, the female lead, riding a bike. Soumitrisha Kundu is making her debut with this film.

Dev shared a 28-second teaser featuring himself in a police uniform, with the title track of the film playing in the background. On November 15, 2023, director Avijit Sen confirmed the completion of the shooting. Earlier, on November 10, 2023, the makers announced the film's release date, bringing it to theaters this Christmas.

Directed by Avijit Sen, Pradhan has been jointly produced by Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies. The film marks the third collaboration between Dev and Avijit Sen, the second collaboration between Soham Chakraborty and Dev, and the first collaboration between Dev and Anirban Chakrabarti. Paran Bandopadhyay, who appeared alongside Dev in Tonic, will be portraying a crucial role in this film as well.

Dev had two theatrical releases this year, Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya and Bagha Jatin, making Pradhan his third film to be released this year. Additionally, he will also be featured in Srijit Mukherji’s upcoming film, co-starring Rukmini Maitra.
