Tungkulung E Eken Khuner Age Khuni Khoja Announcement Teaser: 7th collaboration between Joydeep Mukherjee & Anirban Chakrabarti

On November 8th, 2023, Hoichoi, Bengal's leading OTT platform, shared an announcement teaser for their upcoming web series titled "Tungkulung E Eken: Khuner Age Khuni Khoja." Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, the series is set to premiere in December. The screenplay and dialogues for this series have been skillfully crafted by Padmanabha Dasgupta.

In the nearly two-and-a-half-minute announcement teaser, we witnessed Eken Babu preparing for his next adventure. After traversing mountains and deserts in previous seasons, Eken Babu is now embarking on a journey into the forest to unravel the next mystery. In a humorous twist, he calls his friend, Promotho (played by Somak Ghosh), upon realizing he forgot to pack salt.

This franchise has already seen six seasons on Hoichoi, along with two films titled "The Eken" and "The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan," which were screened in theaters. These productions have consistently garnered positive feedback from audiences.

Joydeep Mukherjee, who previously directed Eken Babu Season 4 and Season 6, is now leading his 7th collaboration with Anirban Chakrabarti. Their partnership includes works beyond the two seasons of this franchise, encompassing projects such as "The Eken," "Water Bottle," "The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan," and "FIR."

Anirban Chakrabarti will reprise his role as Ekendra Sen, also known as Eken Babu, while Somak Ghosh returns as Promotho and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay takes on the role of Bapi. As the tagline suggests, this installment promises even more excitement, with Ekendra Sen set to uncover the killer before the crime occurs.

In addition to this project, Anirban Chakrabarti has been featured in productions like "Cheeni 2," "Jai Kali Kalkattawali," and "The Eken: Ruddhaswas Rajasthan" this year. He is also set to appear in upcoming projects, including "Kabuliwala," "Master Moshai Apni Kichu Dekhenni," "Once Upon a Time in Calcutta," and "Feludar Goyendagiri" (Season 2). Suhotra Mukhopadhyay recently starred in the Addatimes series "Nandini," which premiered last month.
