Petni (2023) Bengali Web Series Trailer Review:
The much-anticipated trailer for director Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s upcoming horror thriller, Petni, was unveiled on November 7, 2023. The series is set to premiere on Addatimes on November 17, 2023.
The approximately 2-minute trailer provides a glimpse into the plot, featuring a group of four friends: Raka Sen (Jasmine Roy), Jui, Shobhon, and Nilesh. During a trip to Sapan Khola Forest, they meet with an accident, leading to Raka falling into a hole and going missing for 5 days. The investigating team eventually locates her.
Raka, upon her return, experiences a sense of someone being inside her, attempting to communicate something. The mystery unfolds—what happened to Raka during 5 five days? Is she possessed by a female ghost? And who is Joyeeta?
The trailer, skillfully edited by Dipayan Roy, effectively sets the stage for the series. Sayan Ganguly's background score adds a perfect touch to intensify the thriller. In addition to Jasmine Roy and Ushasi Roy as the lead cast, the series boasts Arnab Banerjee, Kanchan Mullick, Subhrajit Dutta, and Anindita Ray Choudhury in significant roles.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues of Petni have been penned by Padmanabha Dasgupta, while MD. Kalam serves as the editor, and Ayan Sil handles cinematography in this Surinder Films production.
