Ektu Sore Boshun (2023) Bengali Movie Teaser Review:

Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee's upcoming social comedy-drama Ektu Sore Boshun, unveiled its teaser on October 28, 2023. The film is based on a short story by novelist Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay, also known as Banaphul.

Produced by Asit Ghosh, Anindya Dasgupta, and Sreejit Mukherjee, the film is brought to the theaters this November under the banners GP Entertainment, Big Cat Films, and Darknrg Production. Saurav Banerjee is in charge of cinematography, while Kamaleswar Mukherjee has written the screenplay and dialogues for the film.

The 1-minute and 44-second teaser features Ritwik Chakraborty, portraying the character of Guddu Bhai, aka Gurupada Duttagupta. Guddu, a post-graduate in Sanskrit, resides in Begunbagicha and has been in love with Peu (Ishaa Saha) since childhood. However, his unemployment and unconventional activities led to mockery from the locals, compelling him to flee to Kolkata in pursuit of a better career. In the city, he encounters Rokeya (Paoli Dam) at a placement agency, opening up new opportunities. Peu, not wanting to be separated, follows him to Kolkata to keep an eye on his activities.

The teaser also features Paran Bandopadhyay, Rajatabha Dutta, Payel Sarkar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Manasi Sinha, Loknath Dey, Partha Sarathi Chakraborty, and Biswanath Basu. Additionally, Debranjan Nag, Purbasha Mal, Moumita Pandit, Paushali Mukherjee, Korok Murmu, Debapratim Dasgupta, and Raajhorshee De will play key roles in the film.

One of the teaser's humorous scenes shows Ritwik Chakraborty introducing himself and his address to a police officer who amusingly responds, "Gupto Samrajyer Itihas Bhugol Ki Ami Porini?"

Kamaleswar Mukherjee is making a directorial comeback after a two-year hiatus since his last film, "Anusandhan," released in 2021. As an actor, he appeared in the ZEE5 series Shabash Feluda and Chhotolok this year.

Notably, renowned directors like Mrinal Sen (Bhuvan Shome), Tapan Sinha (Hatey Bazarey), Arabinda Mukhopadhyay (Agnishwar & Paka Dekha), Chitta Basu (Ekti Raat), Hrishikesh Mukherjee (Arjun Pandit), Dinen Gupta (Tilottama), and others have previously adapted various stories by Banaphool.
