Petni (2023) Bengali Web Series Teaser: Sayan Ganguly’s impressive background score
The popular OTT platform Addatimes has released the teaser for their upcoming horror thriller Petni, directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. This series, produced by Surinder Films, is set to premiere on Addatimes on November 17.
The 1-minute and 13-second teaser showcases a car accident that occurs late at night in the jungle of Sapan Khola, with Kanchan Mullick as the investigating officer. Subhrajit Dutta, in a pivotal moment, tells Kanchan Mullick, "Homicide will be your focus". The mystery deepens as it has been 15 years since Raka Sen vanished. Who is Raka Sen, and how did she disappear?
The story, screenplay, and dialogues for Petni have been masterfully crafted by Padmanabha Dasgupta, while Sayan Ganguly is responsible for the original background score. Ayan Sil has taken on the role of cinematographer and MD Kalam serves as the editor for this gripping horror thriller.
Jasmine Roy, who made her OTT debut with Subharambha on Hoichoi, plays a crucial role in this series. Ushasi Roy, known for her outstanding performances in Kumudini Bhaban, Sundarbaner Vidyasagar, and Byomkesh Chorabali, portrays a significant character in this series and will also be featured in Chhotolok on ZEE5. Arnab Banerjee and Anindita Ray Choudhury will also play important roles in this series.
Petni marks Abhimanyu Mukherjee's first foray into the horror-thriller genre, following his previous directorial projects such as "Hello Remember Me," "Indu 2," "Teko," "Googly," "Noor Jahan," "Hullor," and "Flyover," among others.
