The trailer of Director Haranath Chakraborty’s upcoming mystery thriller Tarokar Mrityu has been unveiled on 07th September 2023. Produced by Surinder Films, this enigmatic thriller is set to hit theaters on 29th September 2023.
The movie features an ensemble cast with Ranjit Mallick, Ritwick Chakraborty, and Parno Mittrah in pivotal roles. The storyline revolves around a newlywed couple, portrayed by Ritwick Chakraborty and Parno Mittrah, who retreat to a bungalow in Kalimpong. Ritwick Chakraborty plays the role of a scriptwriter specializing in murder mysteries, while Parno Mittrah takes on the character of a teacher.
A perplexing death at the bungalow draws Investigating Officer Rajen Mitra (played by Ranjit Mallick) into the case. The remainder of the story unravels the mysteries surrounding this untimely demise. Soham Majumdar, Priyanka Mondal, Saswati Guhathakurta, & Anindya Pulak Banerjee will also portray crucial roles in this film.
Ritwick Chakraborty has been consistently delivering stellar performances, garnering acclaim for his roles in the mystery thriller Gora 2, the crime thriller Abar Proloy, and the adventure thriller Mr. Kolketa. Parno Mittrah is set to feature in upcoming films including "Pakdondi," "Bonobibi," and "Sunetra Sundaram."
Haranath Chakraborty's previous romantic drama film Oh! Lovely, did not perform well at the box office. Hopefully, "Tarokar Mrityu" will yield better results for the director.
In "Tarokar Mrityu," Ranjit Mallick takes on the role of the investigating officer, and his appearance has undergone a transformation. He made a comeback last year with "Aporajeyo" and made a cameo appearance in the family drama film Kacher Manush. This year, he also featured in the romantic drama film Love Marriage and the Ghosh Babur Retirement Plan web series.
The story, screenplay, and dialogues of "Tarokar Mrityu" have been crafted by Padmanabha Dasgupta, while Supriya Dutta is responsible for the cinematography, and Nabarun Basu will be in charge of the background score.
