Pradhan (2023) Bengali Movie: Dev and Avijit Sen’s Second Collaboration

On 25th August 2023, Superstar Dev unveiled the inaugural poster for his highly anticipated film Pradhan via his social media account. The film is under the direction of Avijit Sen, marking their second collaboration following the successful venture Tonic, which achieved immense acclaim at the box office.

In this poster, Dev takes on the role of a police officer named Deepak Pradhan, attired in an official uniform. Notably, the backdrop showcases a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi adorning the wall, accompanied by the presence of the Indian national flag resting on a table. The commencement of filming for Pradhan has been officially initiated on this day.

Adding to the film's allure, the accomplished actor Paran Bandopadhyay joins Dev in a compelling family drama. Pradhan is the fruit of a collaborative effort between Dev Entertainment Ventures and Bengal Talkies. Atanu Raychaudhuri, the esteemed producer from Bengal Talkies, has affirmed that "Pradhan" stands as an independent narrative, distinct from the realms of Tonic or "Projapoti."

Dev has been a consistent fixture in the limelight owing to his involvement in a string of blockbuster ventures. Beginning with the success of "Golondaaj," Dev's career has been punctuated by triumphs such as Tonic, Kishmish, Kacher Manush, Projapoti and recently released Byomkesh O Durgo Rahasya.

Alongside this family drama, the actor is set to grace the silver screen in upcoming releases including Bagha Jatin, slated for a Durga Puja premiere, an untitled film with Srijit Mukherji, and Raghu Dakat.
