On the auspicious occasion of Saraswati Puja, Superstar Jeet confirmed the release date of his upcoming film Boomerang by sharing a video. The half-minute clip features him inside a laboratory, accompanied by catchy background music that accentuates the sci-fi elements.
Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the sci-fi romantic comedy stars Rukmini Maitra as the female lead, with Kharaj Mukherjee, Rajatava Dutta, Saurav Das, and Debchandrima in supporting roles. Nilayan Chatterjee will compose the music, while Manas Ganguly, who recently collaborated with Jeet on Raavan and Chengiz, is handling the cinematography for this film.
Boomerang marks Jeet's maiden collaboration with director Sauvik Kundu, actress Rukmini Maitra, and music director Nilayan Chatterjee. Following the box office failure of Manush Child of Destiny, Jeet will undoubtedly be looking to add another blockbuster to his tally. He previously shared glimpses from the Mahurat of this film on July 14th, 2023.
Many were expecting the film to be released during Eid, which would have clashed with Ankush Hazra’s Mirza. We will have to wait a bit more to gain insight into the plot until the teaser and trailer are unveiled.
Meanwhile, Saurav Das will be featured in the upcoming film "Flashback," Rukmini Maitra will appear in Tekka and Binodiini: Ekti Natir Upakhyan, and Debchandrima stars in Preme Pora Baron, premiering today on Addatimes.
