Hubba (2023) Movie Teaser: Mosharraf Karim and Bratya Basu’s second collaboration

The much-awaited teaser for Director Bratya Basu's upcoming gangster drama Hubba was unveiled on 11th August 2023. Produced by Friends Communication, the film's musical score will be composed by Prabuddha Banerjee.

Hubba weaves a narrative around the life of Shyamal Das, a notorious gangster from Hooghly who stands accused of more than 30 murders and a slew of other criminal activities. Referred to as "Hubba Shyamal," he earned the moniker "Dawood Ibrahim of Hooghly." His demise was discovered in 2011, his body was found in a canal at Baidyabati.

In the film, the role of Hubba Shyamal will be portrayed by Mosharraf Karim. The 40-second teaser opens with a thought-provoking line delivered by Mosharraf Karim: "What is a dog that doesn't bark?" Indraneil Sengupta and Loknath Dey are set to portray the roles of police officers.

Bratya Basu, who also penned the story, returns to the director's chair after a hiatus of over 2 years since his last film, Dictionary, was released in 2021. This marks his second collaboration with Bangladeshi actor Mosharraf Karim, following their work on Dictionary.

Sanglap Bhowmik will take charge of the editing process, while Soumik Haldar will oversee the film's cinematography. Bratya Basu has indicated that Hubba will seamlessly blend elements of both thriller and comedy genres and will release in theatres soon.

Mosharraf Karim is known for his outstanding performances in Mohanagar Season 1, Daag, & Mohanagar 2.
