Bohurupi (2024) Bengali Movie: Windows Unveiled Shiboprosad Mukherjee's First Look Poster

On July 27, 2024, Windows Production unveiled the first look of Shiboprosad Mukherjee from their upcoming thriller Bohurupi, scheduled for release during this year's Durga Puja. Shiboprosad Mukherjee will portray the character of Vikram in this film, which he co-directs with Nandita Roy. Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, and Koushani Mukherjee also play lead roles. The makers had previously shared the first-look poster.

The film marks the return of the successful collaboration between Abir Chatterjee, Nandita Roy, and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, following last year's massive success with "Raktabeej." Ritabhari Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee will share screen space again after their appearance together in Fatafati.

Over the years, the director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee have delivered many successful films on unique topics. They have a large fan base that trusts their content and execution, and there is high anticipation for this film. "Bohurupi" is generating significant buzz, especially in comparison to other films releasing this Durga Puja, such as Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka and Pathikrit Basu's Shastri.

The first half of 2024 has passed, and unfortunately, none of the Bengali films have achieved massive box-office success yet. Kaushik Ganguly's Ajogya leads the list, followed by Manasi Sinha's Eta Amader Golpo, Srijit Mukherji's Oti UttamSauvik Kundu's Boomerang, and Sandip Ray's Nayan Rahasya. However, there is hope for better box office collections in the second half of 2024, particularly during the Durga Puja and Christmas seasons.

In the poster, Shiboprosad Mukherjee is seen with a serious expression, wearing a striped shirt with multiple pairs of shoes hanging around his neck. Several people are behind him, holding protest slogans against their boss. Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Koushani Mukherjee are also depicted sitting in a rickshaw in traditional attire.

Additionally, there is a picture of an ambulance, possibly indicating an emergency or medical situation. Another image shows Shiboprosad Mukherjee drawing a plan on a board about a bank robbery in Chandannagar. It will be quite difficult for anyone to recognize Shiboprosad Mukherjee at first glance in the poster, and he thanked his co-director Nandita Roy for this look.
