On January 1, 2024, Surinder Films revealed the motion poster for their highly anticipated horror thriller, Bhootpori, directed by Soukarya Ghosal. The film, produced by Surinder Singh and Nispal Singh under the Surinder Films banner, boasts a star-studded cast featuring Jaya Ahsan, Ritwick Chakraborty, and Sudipta Chakraborty in lead roles. The film marks Soukarya Ghosal's maiden collaboration with Jaya Ahsan & Ritwick Chakraborty.

Jaya Ahsan takes on the role of Banalata, a ghost in search of her lost identity. Ritwick Chakraborty portrays Makhan, a thief who aids Banalata in unraveling the mystery surrounding her death. Bishantak Mukherjee assumes the character of Suryanayan, the first witness to Banalata's apparition, while Sudiptaa Chakraborty embodies the role of his mother.

In the previous year, Jaya Ahsan showcased her talent in projects such as Kadak Singh, Ardhangini, and Srijit Mukherji's Dawshom Awbotaar. Her upcoming endeavors include OCD, Kalantar, Putul Nacher Itikatha, Peyarar Subash, and Fereshta. Ritwick Chakraborty was recently seen in Ektu Sore Bosun, and Sudipta Chakraborty featured in Dev starring Bagha Jatin.

Soukarya Ghosal, renowned for the masterpiece Rainbow Jelly, continues to impress with upcoming directorial ventures like Pokkhirajer Dim, Kalantar, and OCD. Additionally, Surinder Films will collaborate with Dev Entertainment Ventures to co-produce Dev's upcoming film Khadaan.
