Vijay Deverakonda & Puri Jagannadh’s Maiden Collaboration:

Actor Vijay Deverakonda & director Puri Jagannadh is collaborating for the first time for their upcoming movie titled “Liger”. Ananya Panday was roped in to play the female lead in the movie. She made her Bollywood debut with director Punit Malhotra’s movie “Student of the year 2” in 20019, opposite Tiger Shroff, which also starred Tara Sutaria.

Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan will also be portraying crucial roles in “Liger”. Later Makarand Deshpande, Ali, Abdul Quadir Amin were also roped in to play important characters in the movie.

On 15^th September 2021, Vijay Deverakonda informed us through his social media handle about resuming shoot for “Liger”, sharing one of his pictures from the set, with a caption “Blood. Sweat. Violence”. The multi-lingual movie will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam simultaneously.

Pawan Kalyan’s movie “Badri” was Puri Jagannadh’s debut as a director. It was released in 2000, co-starring Renu Desai, Ameesha Patel. His Bollywood directorial movie was “Shart: The Challenge” in 2004. Thereafter he collaborated with Amitabh Bachchan for the movie “Bbuddah... Hoga Terra Baap” in 2011. His previous directorial movie was “iSmart Shankar”, which was released in 2019 & starred Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh, Nidhhi Agerwal, Satyadev Kancharana.

Director Tharun Bhascker’s movie “Pelli Choopulu” marked Deverakonda's debut in a lead role. His previous movie was “World Famous Lover” which was released in 2020, co-starred Rashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Catherine Tresa, Izabelle Leite.

He received accolades for his brilliant performance in the movie “Dear Comrade”, which was directed by Bharat Kamma & co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. “Liger” will be his first Pan India movie. It will be produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, and Hiroo Yash Johar.

Boxing Champion Mike Tyson Joins The Cast of “Liger”:

It looks like Vijay Deverakonda’s first pan India movie is going to be something bigger than was expected earlier. On 27^th September 2021, the makers have announced that the former boxing champion Mike Tyson has been included in the cast of this movie.

“Liger” marks the debut of Mike Tyson in Bollywood. It seems director Puri Jagannadh wants to make his first collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda more special. There is no update yet about the teaser or trailer, or the release date of “Liger”.
