On the auspicious day of “Rakshabandhan”, the makers of “KGF Chapter 2” announced that the movie will be released in theatres worldwide on
14th April 2022.
KGF 2 will arrive on 14th April 2022 in theatres worldwide:
Kannada superstar Yash came to fame with KGF Chapter 1. His
character Rocky Bhai gave him popularity and an identity that he will cherish
forever. As of July 17, he completed 13 long years in the Kannada Film Industry.
The huge success of KGF Chapter 1 has played a big role in taking
the Kannada Film Industry to the next level. It had broken all the previous records to
become the highest-grossing Kannada movie till date & won several
prestigious awards. We have seen many Kannada films including “AvaneSrimannarayana” were released in multiple languages thereafter.
Earlier there were many speculations over KGF 2 movie’s release
date and the releasing platform. However, the makers had confirmed earlier that
KGF 2 won’t be released on any OTT platform and it will be released in theatres
only.
KGF 2 release date was postponed on a few occasions. First,
it was scheduled for a release in April 2020, but due to the pandemic, it was delayed
and extended to 23rd October 2020. Owing to the uncontrollable situation due to
the rise of COVID-19 cases they postponed again and scheduled for 16th July
2021. The situation did not get better within that time also, then they were
forced to postpone again and assuring for 14th April 2022 release.
Sanjay Dutt will be portraying the character of the main
antagonist Adheera. He was last seen in the movie “Bhuj” where Ajay Devgn was
in the lead role.
Srinidhi Shetty’s character of Reena Desai was also highly appreciated
by critics and audiences in KGF 1. Apart from them Raveena Tandon(Ramika Sen), PrakashRaj(Vijayendra Ingalgi), Rao Ramesh will be seen in crucial roles in KGF
chapter 2.
The music of this movie will be composed by Ravi Basrur who
had earlier provided the background score for Vijay’s “Marshal” movie. Hombale
Films Production Company that had earlier produced “KGF 1”, “Yuvarathnaa” will
bankroll for KGF 2 also.
Director Prashanth Neel has also collaborated with Prabhas
for his upcoming action entertainer “Salaar”. Shruti Haasan will be the female
lead in “Salaar”.
