On March 12, 2024, Windows Production confirmed that the shooting of their upcoming mystery thriller Bohurupi has commenced. The filming will predominantly take place at various locations in Kolkata.
Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film features Abir Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, and Koushani Mukherjee in the lead roles. It is slated to hit theaters during Durga Puja this year, coinciding with the releases of Srijit Mukherji’s Tekka and Pathikrit Basu's Shastri.
Indranath Marik will handle the cinematography, while Aritra Mukherjee will serve as the casting director. Jayanti Sen is the costume designer, and Ananda Adhya is the Art Director of Bohurupi.
The directorial duo, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee tasted success with their first thriller, Raktabeej, last year. Therefore, audiences are eagerly anticipating their latest endeavor with heightened expectations.
