Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side B) Review: Hemanth M Rao wins hearts with top-notch storytelling

Manu (Rakshit Shetty) returns from jail after ten years. During this time, he suffered immensely in jail, but the love of his life, Priya (Rukmini Vasanth), and her voice motivated him throughout.

Priya is now married to Deepak (JP Tuminad), and they have a son named Puneeth. Despite involving himself in various activities with the help of Prakash, Manu is unable to forget the time he spent with Priya in the past, and his love for her continues to haunt him. In an attempt to start anew, he meets a prostitute, Surabhi (Chaithra J. Achar).

With Surabhi's help and Priya's brother Vinod, Manu gathers details about Priya and starts following her, collecting every detail about her life. Will Manu succeed in bringing Priya back into his life?

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side B) leans more towards being a revenge drama than a romantic one. Manu undergoes a transformation, developing feelings for Surabhi. His struggle persists as he seeks peace and attempts to bring Priya back to singing.

This time, Soma (Ramesh Indira) is clear in his intention for revenge for the injury Manu left on his ear.

Rakshit Shetty delivers an excellent performance as Manu, keeping the audience engaged throughout the film. His portrayal of challenging characters continues to improve with each project. Manu stands out as one of the most complex characters in his career, brilliantly played in both films.

Rukmini Vasanth as Priya looks okay, though the writing of her character could have been improved. Chaithra J Achar as Surabhi is convincing. Achyuth Kumar as Prabhu and Ramesh Indira as Soma provide decent performances. JP Tuminad as Deepak looks okay. Advaitha Gurumurthy's cinematography and the editing by Sunil S. Bharadwaj and Hemanth M. Rao were satisfactory.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side B) is an engaging and emotional romantic/revenge drama with Hemanth M Rao's brilliant storytelling and solid performances from Rakshit Shetty, Chaithra J Achar, and Rukmini Vasanth.

Hemanth M Rao made his directorial debut with Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu in 2016, and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side B) is his fourth directorial venture, including Kavaludaari and Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A).

The film also marks Rakshit Shetty's 17th project as an actor and 12th film in a lead role. He won the National Film Award last year for 777 Charlie. This is the 13th film for Rakshit Shetty's production house, Paramvah Studios.

SSE Side A vs SSE Side B:

Though it's challenging to compare both, SSE Side B stands ahead of SSE Side A, mainly due to better writing. Rakshit Shetty's character of Manu is the strongest element in the second version. The music by Charan Raj was better in the first version, but the pace significantly improved in the second.

The writing of Ramesh Indira's character, Soma, looked better in Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (Side A) than in SSE Side B.

Also, the writing of Achyuth Kumar's character, Prabhu, was far better in SSE Side A than in SSE Side B.
