The first look poster for the upcoming film Kantara Chapter 1, directed and written by actor Rishab Shetty, is set to be revealed on November 27, 2023, at 12:25 PM. The announcement poster highlights the text "It's not just light, It's a Darshana". On the same day, a Mahurat ceremony will also be held. This film serves as the prequel to Rishab Shetty's 2022 blockbuster action thriller Kantara, which achieved a remarkable box office collection of over Rs 450 crores.
Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the banner of Hombale Films, the filming for Kantara: A Legend-Chapter 1 (Kantara 2) commences in November. The movie is anticipated to hit theaters in the final quarter of 2024 and will be released in seven languages: Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English. This marks Rishab Shetty's 18th film as an actor, his 7th in a lead role, and his 5th as a director.
This film is the 11th production by Hombale Films, known for other successful ventures such as K.G.F: Chapter 1, K.G.F: Chapter 2, and their upcoming projects including Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Yuva, Raghu Thatha, Richard Anthony, and Tyson.
