Raktabeej Trailer: Nandita Roy & Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s upcoming thriller holds potential

The much-anticipated trailer from the directorial duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee has been unveiled today. The story of this film centers around a sudden explosion at a firecracker unit just before Durga Puja in Khoyragarh.

The 2-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with the soul-stirring Mahishashura Mardini by Birendra Krishna Bhadra, setting the tone. Abir Chatterjee, who portrays the character of Pankaj Singha, is seen jogging in front of India Gate in New Delhi.

Currently stationed in Burdwan, he is leading the investigation into the Khoyragarh blast on behalf of the central team. To assist him in the inquiry, Mimi Chakraborty, portraying Sanjukta Mitra, the SP of Burdwan, arrives.

President Animesh (Victor Banerjee) is returning to his village for the first time during Durga Puja after assuming the presidency, which has left his sister (Anasua Majumdar) thrilled. Debasish Mondal is believed to be playing a negative character in the film.

Devlina Kumar, Kanchan Mallick, Ambarish Bhattacharya, & Satyam Bhattacharya portraying significant roles in this film produced by Windows, are also featured in the trailer.

The screenplay for this film has been skillfully crafted by Nandita Roy, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and Zinia Sen. Zinia Sen and Sarbari Ghoshal have lent their talents to writing the screenplay and dialogues. Pratip Mukhopadhyay serves as the director of photography, while Malay Laha takes the reins as the editor.

The music for the film will be composed by Dohar, Anindya Chattopadhyay, and Surajit Chatterjee, with Prabhuddha Banerjee overseeing the background score.

Mark your calendars for the film's release on the 19th of October 2023, when it will hit theaters in Bengali, Hindi, Odia, and Assamese.
