After playing the character of Lord Krishna in the movie “OMG-Oh My God”, Akshay Kumar will portray the character of Lord Shiva in his upcoming movie “OMG 2”.
The upcoming movie “OMG 2” directed by Amit Rai, is the sequel to director Umesh Shukla’s satirical comedy-drama movie “OMG-Oh My God” starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Mithun Chakraborty, which was released in 2012 & was the remake of “The Man Who Sued God”.
While Paresh Rawal & Mithun Chakraborty, were simply unmatched in “OMG-Oh My God”, the sequel will have co-stars like Yami Gautam & Pankaj Tripathi.
On 23rd October 2021, Akshay Kumar through his social media handle shared a glimpse from the set in Ujjain with Pankaj Tripathi. As mentioned by Akshay Kumar “OMG 2” is an honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue.
Pankaj Tripathi’s performances in his last few movies and web series like "Ludo", "Mimi", and "Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors" were remarkable. He will also feature in upcoming movies like “83” & “Bachchan Pandey”. He is also busy these days shooting for "Criminal Justice Season 3".
Though Yami Gautam’s last release “Bhoot Police” did not leave a long-lasting impression among the audiences, she was impressive in movies like “Uri: The Surgical Strike”, “Bala”, “Ginny Weds Sunny”. She will also feature in upcoming movies like “Dasvi”, “A Thursday”, and "Lost”.
Akshay Kumar & Amit Rai’s Maiden Collaboration:
Amit Rai made his directorial debut with the movie “Road to Sangam” starring Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Pawan Malhotra, and Javed Shaikh, which was released in 2009. This is the first time Akshay Kumar is collaborating with director Amir Rai.
