The story of OMG 2 revolves around a shopkeeper Kanti Sharan Mudgal (Pankaj Tripathi) who finds himself in a difficult situation after a video of his son Vivek (Aarush Varma) masturbating at the school toilet went viral. Kanti was afraid of questions the society will ask him after coming to know about the incident.

Vivek tried to commit suicide but the Messenger of Lord Shiva (Akshay Kumar) who arrived to help Kanti, saved him. Kanti realizes his mistake and decided to fight against the school authority who rusticated Vivek from the school and all the responsible persons for Vivek’s condition. Kanti also has included himself among the responsible persons as he failed to give proper guidance to his son as a father.

Kanti doesn’t demand a lot, he wants that all the responsible persons should send an apology to his son Vivek and the School should take his son back in the school, along with minimal compensation amount of Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51, Rs 101 from them which he will give to Lord Shiva.

He faces the most renowned Lawyer Kamini Maheshwari (Yami Gautam) who is defending the accused 4 in this case known for her outstanding method of wining cases. After finding no lawyer to fight his case, Kanti appeals to represent himself in the court and he was granted. Will Kanti be able to defeat Kamini Maheshwari and bring back his son’s mental peace?

Oh My God (OMG) 2 deserves praise for a lot of reasons and the first and most important is the brilliant storytelling by Amit Rai. He talks about a bold topic of sex education in Indian Schools in this film. He understood the sensitivity of the topic very well and presented something which did not cross the line. The argument in the courtroom between Kanti and Kamini was mostly valid and presented with solid proofs against each argument.

PankajTripathi once again delivers an outstanding performance as Kanti Sharan Mudgal. His dialogue delivery, expressions, the maturity the character needs to show have made his performance more convincing.

Yami Gautam as Kamini looks convincing. Her fight with Pankaj Tripathi in the courtroom was one of the highlights of this film.

AkshayKumar who portrayed the character of Lord Krishna in OMG part 1 delivers a top-notch performance as the Messenger of Lord Shiva in OMG 2.

Geeta Agrawal as Indumati, Aarush Varma as Vivek, and Pavan Malhotra as Judge Purushottam Nagar provided good contribution with their performances.

OMG 2 made with a budget of Rs 150 crores earned Rs 55.17 crores at the box office after 4 days of business in India.

Conceptually there are a lot of differences between OMG and OMG 2 but Oh My God 2 stands out due to a unique concept, the social relevance of the concept, the captivating storytelling, and top-notch performances.
