Felubakshi (2024) Movie Poster: Soham Chakraborty as Detective in Debraj Sinha’s upcoming film

Actor Soham Chakraborty has recently begun experimenting with various challenging characters. His performances in last year’s Nikhonj - The Search Begins and LSD: Laal Suitcase Ta Dekhechen? were appreciated by audiences.

Now, the actor is preparing to feature as a detective for the first time in his career with his upcoming film titled Felubakshi. One can easily understand that the name is a mix of Bengal’s two most favorite sleuths, Feluda and Byomkesh Bakshi.

Famous Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni will portray the character of Labanya in her debut Tollywood film directed by Debraj Sinha. Madhumita Sarcar will portray the character of a Radio Jockey named Debjani, who will assist Felubakshi in the investigation. Shataf Figar will play a crucial role in this film. The first look poster features a pistol and Bengal’s favorite sweet, Rosogolla.

Debraj Sinha previously directed "Raktamukhi Neela," "Love in Rajasthan," and "Akkarshan." "Felubakshi" marks the maiden collaboration of Debraj Sinha with Soham Chakraborty, Pori Moni, and Madhumita Sarcar. This is also the first time we will see Soham Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarcar together on-screen.

Last year, Madhumita Sarcar was featured in Dilkhush, Cheeni 2, and Jaatishwar, but this year she has not appeared in any projects till now, and she will also be featured in "Joto Kando Kolkatay." This year, Pori Moni’s only film released was Chayanika Chowdhury’s Kagojer Bou.

The story of Felubakshi has been written by Hungama dot com and "Ka Kha Ga Gha" director Dr. Krishnendu Chatterjee. The film has been produced by Sandeep Sarkar under the joint venture of Himani Films and MediaNext Entertainment. Sudipto Majumder is handling the cinematography, and the music will be composed by Aditi Bose & Aamlaann Chakraborty.

The shooting of this film is currently ongoing. It will be interesting to see how audiences react to Soham Chakraborty as the new detective in Tollywood. Soham Chakraborty was last seen in Avijit Sen’s Pradhan last year.
