On 22nd April 2024, Windows Production confirmed the release date of their upcoming film Aamar Boss. Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, this family drama is set to hit theatres on 21st June 2024.
The film marks the return of National Film Awards-winning actress Raakhee Gulzar to the big screen. Srabanti Chatterjee and Shiboprosad Mukherjee also star in pivotal roles. The makers unveiled the first look poster, which features Raakhee Gulzar and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, with the former kissing the latter's forehead.
June is shaping up to be an exciting month for moviegoers. Alongside "Aamar Boss", Jeet-Rukmini Maitra's Boomerang, Prosenjit Chatterjee and Rituparna Sengupta’s Ajogya, and Anirban Bhattacharya, Sohini Sarkar, and Arna Mukhopadhyay’s Athhoi are also slated for release in June.
Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are renowned for delivering hit films, with their previous directorial venture Raktabeej also achieving blockbuster status. Raakhee Gulzar was last seen in "Nirbaan" in 2019. Srabanti Chatterjee appeared in "Sada Ronger Prithibi" and is set to feature in Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal and "Mir Zafar Chapter 2".
