Exactly three months after the announcement by makers Alpha-i, Chorki, & SVF Entertainment of their first collaboration in the upcoming action thriller Toofan, we finally get to know the female leads of this highly anticipated film, which is scheduled for release in theaters on Eid Ul Adha this year.
Previously, the makers had confirmed Superstar Shakib Khan as the male lead of the film. Now, Mimi Chakraborty joins as the female lead, with Masuma Rahman Nabila as the second female lead. The film will be directed by Raihan Rafi, known for his work on "Surongo" last year.
Mimi Chakraborty, absent from commercial films for some time, made a triumphant return with the blockbuster Raktabeej last year. Her last appearance was in Palasher Biye, and she is also set to feature in the upcoming film Aalap opposite Abir Chatterjee.
Toofan marks Masuma Rahman Nabila's return to the big screen after the blockbuster Aynabaji in 2016. The film also signifies Shakib Khan's first collaboration with Raihan Rafi, Mimi Chakraborty, and Masuma Rahman Nabila. Shakib Khan's last appearance was in Himel Ashraf's Priyotama.
