Fighter (2024) Trailer Review: Siddharth Anand & Hrithik Roshan & Hrithik Roshan’s 3rd collaboration promises goosebump patriotism
On January 15, 2024, Hrithik Roshan unveiled the trailer for his upcoming action thriller, Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film, jointly produced by Siddharth Anand, Mamta Anand, Jyoti Deshpande, Ajit Andhare, Anku Pande, Ramon Chibb, and Kevin Vaz, is under the banners Viacom18 Studios & Marflix Pictures and is set to hit theaters on January 25, 2024.
The 3-minute-long trailer promises high-octane action, solid punchlines, and goosebump-inducing patriotic scenes. Anil Kapoor, portraying Group Captain Rocky Singh, informs his team that top aviators from the Indian Air Force have been selected to form a quick response team, including Hrithik Roshan as Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathiana, Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Minni Rathore, Karan Singh Grover as Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill, and Akshay Oberoi as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan.
He instructs the team members to develop interpersonal bonding, emphasizing that it will aid them in fighting against the rival. Deepika Padukone remarks, "Arrogant," to which Hrithik Roshan responds, "Confident," with a smile on his face. A terror attack on Indian forces resulted in the death of more than 40 soldiers, prompting the Indian Air Force to plan revenge.
Hrithik Roshan is seen emerging from a plane with the flag in hand, and in another scene, he jumps from a flying jeep car. His dialogue, "Tujh jaisi terrorist ki wajah se agar hum battameezi pe utar aaye to tumhara har mohalla IOP ban jayega, India Occupied Pakistan," stands out as the best line in this trailer.
If you're considering the top three action filmmakers in Bollywood, Siddharth Anand would certainly be on that list due to his visualization capabilities in executing an action film. Previously, we've seen "War" and "Pathaan," and from the teaser and trailer, it seems like Fighter will propel Hrithik Roshan into the list of stars with a Rs 500 crore film in India. Hrithik Roshan will be also featured in Ayan Mukherji's upcoming action film War 2.
Ramon Chibb & Siddharth Anand have penned the story, while the screenplay is by Ramon Chibb. The dialogues are written by Hussain Dalal & Abbas Dalal. Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara are in charge of the background score, Vishal–Shekhar are composing the music, Satchith Paulose will handle the cinematography, and Aarif Sheikh has edited the film.
