Omorshongi (2024) Bengali Movie: Dibya Chatterjee's directorial debut on the big screen
Actor Vikram Chatterjee and actress Sohini Sarkar are set to collaborate for the first time in director Dibya Chatterjee's upcoming film, Omorshongi. In the movie, Vikram Chatterjee will take on the role of Anurag, a writer who grew up with the character Joyee, portrayed by Sohini Sarkar.
The filming for Omorshongi (Amar Sangi) commenced last week and is scheduled to take place primarily in North and South Kolkata. The film is being produced by Avinaba Ghosh under the banner of Dream On Sale production house. While the official release date and the rest of the star cast are yet to be confirmed, anticipation is building for this new cinematic venture.
Sohini Sarkar had a remarkable 2023, showcasing her talent in projects such as Sampurna 2, Durgo Rawhoshyo, Abar Bibaho Obhijaan, Kabuliwala, and Homestay Murders. She is also set to feature in upcoming films Athhoi and Kabaddi Kabaddi.
This year Vikram Chatterjee graced the screen in productions like Shesh Pata, Roktokorobi, and Shohorer Ushnotomo Din E. He is also slated to appear in the films Pariah and Durgapur Junction, & Ke Prothom Kacche Eshechi. The diverse projects on both actors' schedules promise an exciting cinematic experience for their fans.
