On December 16, 2023, Prime Video India unveiled the official teaser for Season 1 of the Indian Police Force, featuring Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. Directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, the series has been both created and produced by Rohit Shetty.
The writing team, consisting of Rohit Shetty, Sandeep Saket, Anusha Nandkumar, Ayush Trivedi, Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, and Sanchit Bedre, marks the debut web series for both Rohit Shetty and Sidharth Malhotra. The 1 minute 12 seconds official teaser kicks off with explosions and a car chase, setting the tone for the action-packed series.
In the teaser, Inspector Kabir Malik IPS (Sidharth Malhotra) and Vivek Oberoi as Vikram Bakshi are assigned the task of apprehending the mastermind behind the explosions, with assistance from Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Nikitin Dheer.
Noteworthy cameo appearances include Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham, Akshay Kumar as Veer Sooryavanshi, Ranveer Singh as Sangram Bhalero, and Deepika Padukone reprising her role as DCP Shakti Shetty, also known as Lady Singham from Singham Again. The release date of the cop universe was confirmed by the makers on October 21 earlier this year.
Indian Police Force Season 1 boasts a stellar cast including Prakash Raj, Mukesh Rishi, Shweta Ashok Tiwari, Mrinal Ruchir Kulkarni, Mayyank Taandon, Vaidehi Parashurami, Sharad Kelkar, Ritu Raj Singh, and Isha Talwar in crucial roles. Lijo George-DJ Chetas is set to compose the music for the series.
Sidharth Malhotra, last seen in Shantanu Bagchi's Mission Majnu, is also set to feature in Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha’s Yodha. Rohit Shetty's previous film, Cirkus, faced box office challenges, but anticipation surrounds his upcoming directorial venture, Singham Again. Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty Kundra's latest appearance was in Sukhee, and Vivek Anand Oberoi was last seen in Kaduva.
