On October 5th, 2023, Dev shared a video on his social media platform, providing an exciting update about his upcoming film, "Bagha Jatin." With just two weeks remaining until Durga Puja, numerous fans eagerly awaited news about the film's trailer.

In the video, Dev confirmed that the trailer would be released on October 9th, 2023, and the film itself would premiere in theaters on October 19, 2023. He was dressed and appeared in the persona of Jatindranath Mukhopadhyay, the character he will portray in the movie.

Among the four Bengali films vying for attention during Durga Puja this year, three have already unveiled their trailers. Consequently, the anticipation now centers around the release of the trailer for "Bagha Jatin," directed by Arun Roy. Despite the film's Pan India release, concerns persist as there have been limited promotional efforts targeting the Hindi-speaking audience thus far.

The other three Bengali films competing during Durga Puja are "Dawshom Awbotaar," "Jongole Mitin Mashi," and "Raktabeej." Dev's previous film, "Byomkesh O Durgo Rahosyo," failed to make a significant impact at the box office.

Consequently, it's clear that he is eager to achieve success with "Bagha Jatin" this time around. Additionally, Dev is set to appear in "Pradhan," directed by Avijit Sen, known for his work on the film "Projapoti."
