Apurva (2023) Movie Trailer: Abhishek Banerjee's Character Looks Scariest

After the release of Apurva's first look poster, excitement surged among fans on social media for Tara Sutaria's upcoming thriller. The film's trailer was unveiled on October 26th.

The nearly two-and-a-half-minute trailer opens with Abhishek Banerjee delivering the line, "Nishana aankh mein hona chahiye, banduk mein nahi." Subsequently, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, and Sumit Gulati are seen engaging in a street brawl, with Abhishek Banerjee ultimately fatally shooting someone.

In the next scene, we are introduced to Tara Sutaria, who portrays the titular character, and Dhairya Karwa, who plays her would-be husband, Sidharth, also known as Sid. They share a romantic moment set to the song "Tera pyar ye, teohar hai." Tara Sutaria inquires, "Can't we postpone the wedding by a year?" To which Dhairya Karwa responds, "I can't take the risk." As Dhairya Karwa prepares to leave for Agra, he implores Tara Sutaria to accompany him, but she declines, stating, "Not before the wedding." The next scene features their engagement ceremony.

Apurva had planned to surprise Sid on his birthday in Agra, but in the subsequent scene, she is shown with blood on her face, and Abhishek Banerjee wishes her a happy birthday. She has been kidnapped from a bus. Abhishek Banerjee remarks, "She looks so homely; I want to marry her." Meanwhile, Sid anxiously inquires with a police officer about any updates on Apurva, as more than two and a half hours have passed without any information. He attempts to call her, but her phone is switched off.

Apurva is seen attempting to escape, with the trio searching for her. Rajpal Yadav comments, "We came here to rob a truck, not to chase a girl," but Abhishek Banerjee is more focused on Apurva than the robbery, instructing Rajpal Yadav to continue alone if he wants to complete the heist.

The film, directed and written by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, known for "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe," is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on November 15, 2023. Abhishek Banerjee, who recently appeared in "Dream Girl 2," will also feature in the upcoming film "Aankh Micholi." Sumit Gulati, known for his work in "Kohrra," "Vadh," "Thank God," "Tadap," "Doordarshan," and "Virgin Bhanupriya," plays a pivotal role in the movie. The film's music and lyrics are composed by Vishal Mishra.
