After the resounding success of Sampurna Season 1, Hoichoi has officially announced the highly anticipated Sampurna Season 2. This eagerly awaited season is slated to premiere on September 29, 2023, exclusively on the Hoichoi platform. The helm of direction will once again be in the capable hands of Sayantan Ghosal, the director responsible for the first season's success.

The excitement surrounding Sampurna 2 reached a fever pitch when Hoichoi unveiled the first-look poster and confirmed the release date on September 7, 2023. In the striking poster, we catch a glimpse of Sampurna's wedding to Piku, portrayed by Prantik Chatterjee.

This tantalizing image offers a tantalizing hint of what's to come, possibly delving into Sampurna's early days with the Sanyal family. This season will most probably uncover the challenges she faced and the triumphant journey she embarked upon.

Returning to reprise their iconic roles from Season 1 are Sohini Sarkar as Sampurna and Rajnandini Paul as Nandini. The story of the first season revolves around newlywed Nandini who was getting abused by her husband Ruku, understanding her pain Sampurna raised a voice against Ruku and the Sanyal family. The second season may also include the consequences that she will face from the family for going against the family and supporting Nandini.

However, both director Sayan Ghosal and Sohini Sarkar have tantalizingly hinted at fresh faces joining the cast in Season 2.

Rajnandini Paul delivered a solid performance in Mr Kolketa on Hoichoi but her romantic comedy film Oh! Lovely did not work well at the box office.

Sohini Sarkar will feature in upcoming projects including Kabuliwala & Kabaddi Kabaddi apart from playing the character of Satyabati in Srijit Mukherji-directed detective thriller Durgo Rawhoshyo.
