On the 15th of December 2021, Amitabh Bachchan, Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar, and Alia Bhatt shared the official motion poster of Brahmastra through their social media handles.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are the male and female leads of this Ayan Mukerji directorial sci-fi movie. Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy, and Dimple Kapadia will also portray crucial roles in this movie.

Though the movie looks like a sci-fi genre movie, director Ayan Mukerji has termed it a fantasy adventure epic genre movie.

Ranbir Kapoor was last seen in director Rajkumar Hirani’s movie Sanju in 2018. He will also feature in the Shamshera movie and an untitled film by Luv Ranjan.
Nagarjuna Akkineni was last seen in the action thriller movie Wild Dog and he will also feature in upcoming movies like Bangarraju & The Ghost.
Mouni Roy, the antagonist of Brahmastra was earlier nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut due to her top-notch performance in Akshay Kumar starrer movie Gold.
Amitabh Bachchan’s last movie Chehre received mixed reviews from critics as well as audiences. He will feature in upcoming movies like Runway 34(earlier titled Mayday), Good Bye, Jhund, Butterfly, and Uunchai.
Dimple Kapadia had no release this year but she appeared in two movies Angrezi Medium & Tenet in 2020. She will feature in upcoming movies like A Thursday & Pathan.
