Do you remember what something special about the date 10th August 2001 was? If you have guessed it correctly as the release date of one of the blockbuster movies of Bollywood “Dil Chahta Hai”, then you are awesome.

Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna were in the lead roles in “Dil Chahta Hai” while the music was composed by Shakar-Ehsaan-Loy. The movie marked the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar in Bollywood. It took Farhan Akhtar’s career to a new high and he won several prestigious awards for it. His last directorial movie was “Don 2- The King is back” starring Shah Rukh Khan in 2011.

After 20 years of “Dil Chahta Hai”, Farhan Akhtar announced his next directorial movie titled “Jee Le Zaraa” on 10th August 2021. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt will be in the lead roles. The story is about a road trip of three women.

Farhan Akhtar is currently enjoying the success of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Toofaan” on Amazon Prime Video. Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur & Hussain Dalal are in the supporting roles in “Toofaan”.

Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti are the writers of “Jee Le Zaraa” and the movie will be bankrolled by Reema, Zoya, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan.

It seems so much exciting watching this trio sharing the screen space for the first time. It will be quite interesting to see whether Farhan Akhtar can recreate the magic of “Dil Chahta Hai” in “Jee Le Zaraa” with this female trio.

‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, ‘Brahmastra’, ‘Darlings’ and ‘RRR’ are the upcoming movies of Alia Bhatt. Katrina Kaif’s next movie is ‘Phone Bhoot’ with Ishaan Khatter & Siddhant Chaturvedi.
