Krack Movie Review: Story & Performances

The movie started with a brief of how a note of Rs 50, a mango, and a metal spike have changed the lives of three notorious criminals.

The first gangster Saleem Bathkal(Chirag Jani) is in Delhi Jail and a BBC journalist arrived there to interview him. Saleem asked for money of a Rs 50 currency note which surprises everyone present there. He shares his story about how a Rs 50 currency note was responsible for his current situation.

The next gangster was Konda Reddy(P. Ravi Shankar) against whom a case was registered. He was unknown of the crazy cop Veera Shankar(Ravi Teja). To make him aware of Veera Shankar’s story another police officer has sent Konda Reddy to central jail to meet Katari (Samuthirakani).

Katari shares his story about how a metal spike was responsible to send him to jail. The case was registered against Konda Reddy(P. Ravi Shankar) when he unleashes his dogs upon a little girl who was trying to pluck from a mango tree in his yard. Veera Shankar was the only common factor in all these criminals’ stories.

Ravi Teja’s acting style was highly impressive and the only reason one can watch the Krack movie. Ravi Teja is mostly famous for his acting in action comedy movies. His last released movie was Disco Raja and his upcoming movies are Khiladi, Tiger Nageswara Rao, Ravanasura, Rama Rao On Duty.

Shruti Haasan had rarely anything in the script to showcase her talent and the story also lacks romantic elements. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Samuthirakani delivered good performances in negative roles.

Director Gopichand Malineni tried for a masala entertainer adding a few family scenes in the Krack movie. The action sequences were quite good. The story of the movie was quite predictable and offered nothing unique. The background score and songs composed by S. Thaman were solid.

Gopichand Malineni made his directorial debut with the movie Don Seenu starring Ravi Teja. Thereafter he again collaborated with him in the movie Balupu. The Krack movie is the third collaboration between them.
