Lady Chatterjee Web Series Trailer: Arunima Ghosh Makes Her Debut as a Private Detective

On August 3rd, 2024, the new OTT platform Fridaay unveiled the official trailer for its latest detective thriller, Lady Chatterjee, directed by Sagnik Chatterjee. The series stars Arunima Ghosh in the titular role, with Debashis Mondal, Alivia Sarkar, Rupsa Chatterjee, and Sudeep Dhara playing crucial roles.

The 1-minute 50-second trailer introduces us to a new detective in town, Lady Chatterjee, described as an extended arm of law and order and a guiding force for the crime branch. When the police team finds themselves constrained by the law, she steps in to take over the case.

In the trailer, Lady Chatterjee is assigned a new case where, according to the police, a criminal, while asleep, kills his mother out of greed for property. However, as Lady Chatterjee begins her investigation, she uncovers new angles in the murder. The question remains: will she be able to solve the mystery?

The portrayal of Arunima Ghosh as Lady Chatterjee, a drug-addicted private detective is impressive in this trailer. Rajdeep Ganguly’s background score and the trailer's editing stand out, while Subhadip Naskar handles the cinematography, and Rajdeep Ganguly also composes the series' music.

This marks the first time Arunima Ghosh is playing a private detective in her career, and she is visibly excited about the role. Debashis Mondal’s character bears a resemblance to his role in the Abar Proloy web series.

Arunima Ghosh’s previous work, Kirton, received a massive response from audiences. Alivia Sarkar, who was last seen in Boka Bakshote Bondi, will portray Arunima Ghosh’s sister in this series. Rupsa Chatterjee, last seen in Rudrabinar Obhishaap, and Mandaar fame Sudeep Dhara, who also appears in a scene in the trailer, round out the cast.
