On 20th June 2024, actor Vikram Chatterjee unveiled the official teaser of his upcoming romantic drama film Surjo. Directed by Shieladitya Moulik, this romantic drama stars Madhumita Sarcar as the female lead and Darshana Banik in a supporting role.
The 1-minute 10-second teaser begins with a dialogue from Madhumita Sarcar, who says, "You don’t know me, but I have known you for a long time." Vikram Chatterjee is seen smoking while possibly bathing in a river. He is also seen performing a few action sequences.
Vikram Chatterjee’s screen presence is praiseworthy. The background score by Loy-Deep is quite impressive in this teaser. Ayan Sil is responsible for the cinematography of this film, and it has been produced by Innovative Films. The makers unveiled the motion poster of this film on 15th June 2024.
After the success of Pariah Part 1, the expectations from Vikram Chatterjee are certainly higher this time, and it will be interesting to see his transformation from an action hero to a romantic hero.
"Surjo" is the official adaptation of director Martin Prakkat’s romantic drama film "Charlie," starring Dulquer Salmaan, Parvathy, and Aparna Gopinath in the lead roles, which was released in 2015.
It’s been a long time since we have seen many remakes, so it will be interesting to see how audiences react to "Surjo" when it arrives in theaters on 19th July 2024. The film marks the return of Vikram Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar after Kuler Achaar.
