On 9th April 2024, Surinder Films confirmed that the trailer for their upcoming romantic drama film, Alaap, will be unveiled on the grand occasion of Eid Ul Fitr on 11th April 2024.
Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, the film stars Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty as the male and female leads, respectively, and is set to hit theaters on 26th April 2024. The makers shared a video featuring the lead actors announcing the trailer release date and theatrical release date of the film. Swastika Dutta joins as the second female lead, while Tonni Laha Roy and Kinjal Nanda will feature in supporting roles.
The story of Alaap has been penned by Premendu Bikash Chaki, with a screenplay by Padmanabha Dasgupta, and music composition by Anupam Roy. This seems like a great combination, and we are quite pleased to see Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty reunite in a romantic drama after last year’s blockbuster Raktabeej.
On 5th April 2024, the makers unveiled the first song from the film, "Abohawa Bole Dey," sung by Somlata Acharyya and Rohan Basu, which received a good response from listeners.
