After the massive success of Director Avijit Sen's Projapoti in 2022, Megastar Mithun Chakraborty has been consistently making headlines by associating with some super exciting Bengali films. Last year, his performance in Suman Ghosh's directorial Kabuliwala won the hearts of audiences.
On March 13th, 2024, Director Raj Chakraborty shared a video from the sets of his upcoming untitled film, which marks the 165th production of SVF, confirming that the shooting of this film has commenced.
The family drama film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Subhashree Ganguly, and Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead roles, with Anasua Majumder and Sohini Sengupta in supporting roles. Manas Ganguly is handling the cinematography for this film.
This project holds significance for several reasons. Firstly, the film marks the maiden collaboration between Raj Chakraborty and Mithun Chakraborty. Additionally, Raj Chakraborty and SVF Entertainment are collaborating again after six years, since their last release "Adventures of Jojo" in 2018.
Moreover, the trio of Raj Chakraborty, Subhashree Ganguly, and SVF Entertainment are reuniting after 15 years, since their collaboration in Challenge in 2009. Notably, Raj Chakraborty and Subhashree Ganguly are also teaming up for another upcoming film titled Babli, where they will be featured alongside Abir Chatterjee and Sauraseni Maitra.
