The nearly 2-and-a-half-minute trailer begins with a phone call reporting a stranger (R Madhavan) who entered a house claiming he needed to charge his phone for 10-15 minutes before leaving.
As time progresses, the stranger refuses to leave the house and hypnotizes their daughter, Jahnvi (Janki Bodiwala). She obediently follows every order of the stranger, from consuming tea leaves to even slapping her father (Ajay Devgn). The stranger aims to take Jahnvi with him, but her parents refuse to let her go. What is the identity of the stranger? Why does he want to take Jahnvi with him? Will Jahnvi's parents be able to save her from the stranger?
Ajay Devgn portrays the caring father who will go to any length to save his daughter, while Jyotika convincingly portrays the scared mother. The background score by Amit Trivedi is another highlight of the trailer.
The film has been produced by Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak under the banners of Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, and Panorama Studios International. Aamil Keeyan Khan is responsible for the adapted screenplay of this film.
R Madhavan is undoubtedly the major attraction of this gripping trailer. Shaitaan is a battle between good and evil, a parent's fight to save their child from darkness. Janki Bodiwala also shows promise in the trailer, marking her debut in Bollywood. The official teaser for the film was unveiled on January 25 of this year.
During the trailer launch event, R Madhavan spoke highly of Ajay Devgn, who offered him the role, stating, "Ajay Devgn is the real Singham."
