Sada Ronger Prithibi (2024) Bengali Movie Trailer Review:
On February 1st, 2024, Sony Music India unveiled the trailer for the upcoming crime thriller, Sada Ronger Prithibi. Directed by Raajhorshee De, the film features Srabanti Chatterjee, Souraseni Maitra, and Arindam Sil in leading roles, with Mallika Banerjee, Sneha Chatterjee, Devleena Kumar, Ananya Banerjee, and others in supporting roles.
The two-and-a-half-minute trailer provides a glimpse into the plot, which centers around a widow trafficking racket in Varanasi, where five girls have gone missing in the past year. Srabanti Chatterjee portrays a dual role: one as a fighter against the trafficking racket, while her sister is revealed as the main culprit behind it. Will the police team be able to uncover and dismantle the racket?
Arindam Sil takes on a negative role, while Rwitobroto Mukhopadhyay plays an important character. Souraseni Maitra, Mallika Banerjee, Sneha Chatterjee, Devleena Kumar, Ananya Banerjee, and Richa Sharma also feature prominently in the trailer.
Critics noted that the trailer's editing fell short, as it revealed significant plot details. Maintaining the secrecy surrounding Srabanti Chatterjee's negative character could have heightened its impact. Nevertheless, Srabanti Chatterjee's portrayal in the negative role is commendable, and the background score adds to the intensity. The film is set for release in theaters this February.
Srabanti Chatterjee will be also featured in upcoming films like Amar Boss & Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal. Sauraseni Maitra will be also featured in Babli and Sedin Kuyasha Chilo.
