Lucky Baskhar Movie: Venky Atluri & Dulquer Salmaan’s Maiden Collaboration
On February 3, 2024, Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan marked 12 years in the industry since the release of his first film titled Second Show, directed by Srinath Rajendran on February 3, 2012. To commemorate this milestone, he unveiled the first look poster from his upcoming film, Lucky Baskhar.
The film will be directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya under the banners Sithara Entertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas. GV Prakash Kumar will compose the music, Nimish Ravi will handle the cinematography, and Navin Nooli will edit the film. Meenakshii Chaudhary stars as the female lead in this multi-language release spanning Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, aimed at a Pan-Indian audience.
The first look poster features Dulquer Salmaan as a cashier at Magadha Bank, exuding intensity with 100 rupees notes surrounding him. Set in the 1980s, the story will portray an ordinary man's extraordinary journey. Lucky Baskhar marks Venky Atluri’s fifth directorial venture following Tholi Prema, Mr. Majnu, Rang De, and Vaathi, and his debut collaboration with Dulquer Salmaan.
Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in King of Kotha, and he will also appear in Mani Ratnam's upcoming film, Thug Life. Meenakshii Chaudhary's recent appearance was in Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Karaam, and she will also feature in The Greatest of All Time, Matka, and VS10.
