On January 31, 2024, Netflix unveiled the trailer for their upcoming crime thriller, Bhakshak, directed by Pulkit. The film features a stellar cast including Bhumi Pednekar, Sai Tamhankar, Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Surya Sharma in lead roles.
The 2-and-a-half-minute trailer provides a glimpse into the plot, which revolves around a powerful man named Bansi Sahu (played by Aditya Srivastava) who leads a girls' trafficking racket.
However, his operations are disrupted when reporter Vaishali Singh (Bhumi Pednekar) begins covering the story and takes on the responsibility of freeing the girls who are victims of Bansi Sahu's exploitation. SSP Jameet Gaur (Sai Tamhankar) wants to assist Vaishali, but she finds herself powerless against Bansi Sahu's influence. Will Vaishali Singh succeed in exposing the culprit and saving the girls?
The face-off between Bhumi Pednekar and Aditya Srivastava looks intriguing, while Sai Tamhankar portrays the character of SSP Jameet Gaur with depth. Aditya Srivastava's portrayal of the negative role is particularly impressive. Surya Sharma plays the role of Arvind Singh, the investigating officer, and Sanjay Mishra appears in a significant role as Baskar Sinha.
